Samsung Bendable Smart phones will soon be released at Mobile World Congress in 2017
The company looking to bring forth two smartphones with flexible displays at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, in 2017. These smartphones won’t be a part of the Galaxy S Series, and up till now have been codenamed “Project Valley”.
SPECIFICATIONS
• The foremost spec is the model’s compaction of the fold in half is making the smartphone more affordable to be in the pocket.
• The other is said to sport a 5-inch display.
• It will also have the capacity to unfurl into an 8-inch tablet display panel.
LEVERAGE IN THE MARKET
Bendable displays specs will give Samsung leverage in the overwhelmingly crowded market of smartphones. Samsung started its dual-edged screens and even displayed 4K screens for smartphones exactly at the Display Week conference that held last week in San Francisco.
Nevertheless, LG’s display with the first flexible phone became the reason for its defeat in the market by LG with the first flexible phone, the LG G Flex. Now, it’s biggest competitor Apple is looking to redesign the iPhone for next year and is expected to bring the Oled displays as well. Samsung may be looking to maintain its competition in a foldable display which may give Samsung leverage upon others.

The report also mentioned previously rumoured statement that Samsung will jump to 7 for its Note series numbering so that to fall in line with its flagship Galaxy series. So far, it has been suggested that the Note 6/7 will be revealed in August 2017.
Meanwhile, the Edge variant is expected to be reintroduced by Samsung, something that is skipped last year with showcasing Galaxy Note 5. The Galaxy Note 6 is also expected to switch to a USB Type-C port, and come with an iris scanner in the front.
